For all of you film shooters out there...have you ever found a mystery roll at the bottom of your bag or sitting on your desk that you wonder how long ago it was shot or what is even on it? These are from "that roll". It's like getting a little present you never expected or a week after your birthday when you thought your birthday was over. So fun.
This is Beau. I swear he is going to be famous one day. He is by far one of my favorite kids to photograph. Him and his sisters are amazing. ALL that hair! ...and personality too, as you can see.

Are you kidding me? I just can't handle the cuteness overload right now. It's too much! Love, love, love these girls.
While I was already heading down to SY for the engagement shoot I wanted to pop in on a very dear friend for a fun spring shoot! Just something fun to add to the portfolio and get excited for the year to come! These girls are just too much though. Love those little faces!
I am SOOOOOOO excited to photograph this wedding at Chamberlain Ranch this weekend!
Amanda was one of those amazing brides that knew after seeing my work and chatting over the phone that I was the right photographer for her and her fiance...LOVE when that happens. So this was my first chance to meet them finally in person today! Yay! We had a great little 20 minute shoot after they had had a long day of finishing up details for their wedding coming up in TWO days! Their wedding location is just so gorgeous right now and it is the prime season for the astonishing green hills and the trees are just draped in moss...amazing!
We got that stunning glowing late light and all I can say is...wow! The colors were so dreamy.
p.s. Doesn't this tree look like a heart? I know, kind of cheesy, but I was diggin' it!
I was really fortunate to have a few images published this month in the new magazine 805 Weddings magazine. Two of these fabulous cakes were done by Morning Star Creations as seen on the full page and bottom right photo (www.morningstarcakes.com) and the other was done by the amazing Decadence Wedding Cakes top left side (www.decadenceweddingcakes.com). The far right top picture was not done by me so I can't take credit for all of them. :)
I love having the pleasure to work with both of these vendors. Their work is always so great!
Spring is here and I am so happy about it! Sometimes I just can't believe how lucky I am to live in this beautiful area. The past few weeks I've been having a really hard time staying inside at my computer. It is just so gorgeous outside!
We've been planting all kinds of vegetables, flowers and bulbs around the yard and I can't wait for everything to come into full bloom. This year is going to be the best year yet. We currently have oranges, lemons, limes, tomatoes, a variety of herbs, strawberries, bell peppers, zucchini, artichokes and a few others growing in our back yard! Lookout Farmers Market!
These photos were taken two years ago in April throughout the Big Sur area on the Highway 1 and at the shell creek wildflower spot over by Paso. Ben and I usually try to go picture hunting every year during April (our anniversary). Last year we were planning & having our wedding in April so we missed the annual trip which makes me even more anxious to go explore those dreamy green hills real soon!
I just want to give everyone a heads up who might experience the same problem I had. Ben and I both went through freecreditreport.com because we're tying to get into the position to possibly purchase a home in the next year or two and we both were fooled by this company as I guess many others have been fooled.
Today we were going through finances, yay fun...and we both found charges on our credit cards for $14.95 in the name of CIC triple Advantage. What?? So I googled CIC and found this great site (http://www.complaintsboard.com) where hundreds of people had been scammed like us only many of them didn't realize it was on their bill for months and the company stands behind their policy of no refunds.
I could write so much more about how upset all of this made me and how we were fooled but just to be short, make sure this does not happen to you and always read the fine print...every word.
Here are a few words from other upset customers:
Bill Powell - This company cic triple advantage is ripping us off every month! I don't have the money to make ends meet with the bills I have - and this company jumps in there and takes my money before I have a chance to. And if I take my money out they still try and get it and the bank charges me for bouncing! I never signed up for this and don't want it. I have tried to contact them - they hide well! I am going to try the number people listed on this site. Oh by the why, I WENT TO THE COMPLAINTS.COM SITE TO COMPLAIN AND GUESS WHAT, CIS IS AN ADVERTISER!!!!!
Christine - Here's a new one. Unaware of this scam, my husband ordered his "free" credit report, and we now have three months worth of a $14.95 charge on one of our credit cards. We called to cancel -- they did... we'll see when next month's statement comes. We asked for a refund, rep says he isn't authorized, got a supervisor on the line. Her spin? We "had" to have put in a credit card number to be billed for their ridiculous service. My husband never put in a credit card number. They work with Experian -- they have all that info anyways!! So her spin on it is that "you have to put in your cc info during the process" so therefore, so no one else used our card to get the credit report and we must take it up with our cc company. BS! Next on the line is the BBB and FTC.
Karen - I called 3 mos. ago and canceled . They keep billing my credit card. I have e-mailed them. I did get a reply, so I printed it out and sent it to my credit card company. Now, MAYBE it will stop being billed to my card.
Jimmie Williams - I do not know what CIC* TripleAdvantage is: all I know is that this is getting to be a pain. This company is taking money from my bank account and this must stop I only make enough to cover my bills and my account is getting overdraft charges and now I need to know how I get my money back and make them refund all these overdraft charges.
Steve - Was stupid enough to sign up for freecreditreport.com... I called to cancel a few hours later after a long wait on hold. Got a confirmation number but it sort of sounded like she was making it up. No charges yet but I'm very worried they will come.
Michelle - This is unbelievable. I'm so glad I found this webpage so I could one, figure out where it was coming from and two, get it taken care of right away and be wary of whether the cancellation went through. After all of these complaints I can't believe they are still in business and haven't been sued yet. Amazing and terrible.
These two cuties came a long way from San Diego to do their engagement pics up here in Pismo! Luckily they don't have too far to drive back as they're staying in Santa Ynez to work on wedding planning details with family. Stephanie and John actually met in SLO a few years ago so I'm sure it was a nice trip for them and quite fitting to do their engagement pictures in their old home town.
I kept teasing Stephanie about the way she gazes into the eyes of her big hunka-lunka man with her own gorgeous blue-green eyes and bright smile. Adorable.
Poor John was coerced into buying a new shirt and jeans just for the shoot. He said he felt like he was in an Abercrombie and Fitch ad. Sorry John, but I think us girls won, you look great! :) :) :)
I told John, "Welcome to married life!" as I do the same thing to my Ben. I'm always trying to pick out his clothes. Ben actually likes it now though. Every day before work he says, "Honey, what tie do I wear with this shirt". I don't know why I love telling him what to wear but maybe it's because it's easier to dress him then myself. Not fair.
