comments for the cure

My hero, mentor and good friend Jose Villa who happened to photograph my very own wedding is doing an awesome fund raiser. Please go check out his blog and place a comment. If he gets to 500 comments from 500 different people he is going to donate $1,000 to the Children's Cancer Research Fund. It's a great cause so please go take a quick moment to say hi on his blog. Thanks!

cindy & ashley

ahhhh, sigh of relief....the final shoot of the year for me. :) What a beautiful one at that to end the year!

I promised myself I would not take on any more sessions past the first week of December so I could keep up with the annual Holiday CRAZINESS but Cindy snuck in there somehow. I don't think it had anything to do with the fact that she invited Ben and I to her TWO amazing Holiday dinners at her home (during Thanksgiving week and last weekend) where she served multiple courses, arranged a beautiful table setting for us and popped open about five or six amazing bottles of wine. Oh yea, and just about everything was made from scratch including some yummy cornbread and deserts to-die-for AND she would not let anyone help do dishes or clean up. So, what can I say...I can be bribed I guess.

These two lovely ladies were such a joy to photograph. Can you tell they're related? Not at all, right? :) :) :) I love this first pic (which was the last shot) with the carousel in the background. The color is so dreamy.

Tula Pink has gone public!!!

My amazingly talented cousin Jenny has always been an inspiration in my life. I remember looking at her artwork when I was a kid and she was only a teenager and thinking I wanted to be as creative as her. She has done so much with her art including but not limited to paintings, whacky quilts, clothing and she has done a few exhibits of her work with The Love Bandits.

Now she has gone on to designing her own fabric! I'm copying in her e-mail announcement below. Please go check out her blog and stay tuned as knowing her, she has many more amazing projects on the way.

Tula Pink has gone public!!!

Get your mind out of the gutter. All I am saying is that I have a blog. Now all you little Tula worshipers can check up on me and what I am doing when ever you want! I am expecting lots of comments and showering praise of my fabric. So hurry, push, shove and beat your way to tulapink.com right this minute. Ok, sorry for the over excitement but anyone who knows me, which you all do, know that I am not exactly web design friendly so this is a really big hurdle that I have soared over in an effort to keep all of you lovely people in the know. My first fabric collection is finally in stores and the second is on the way. If I have overlooked anyone here it is only because I don't have an email address for them so please forward it on.

Love, Jen aka Tula Pink

our little studio mascot

This is Dolce. She is my little buddy that keeps me company all day everyday as I sit at the computer editing my life away. :) Ben and I have spoiled her so badly she is like our baby. One day when we have real kids either she is going to be so jealous or the kids are!

Every time I have a few frames left on my camera I always use them on her. By now I could probably put together a whole Dolce book from all the cute shots of her. And yes, I mean a few frames from a roll of film for those who are wondering what I meant by frames. LOL!

Just thought I would share. She's the best dog in the whole world (to me at least).
