Anyone who lives on the central coast knows just how magical it is here in the months of March and April. If there is a way to describe it in words which I'm sure mine don't give it justice (that's why I'm a photographer and not a writer), then I would say heaven must look something like this.

For our one year wedding anniversary Ben and I took a little trip to Yosemite in April. I just got the film in today and looking at it all makes me want to go back now. I feel like these images are just oozing with serenity which is what I felt being there. I love that Ben pushes me to take the time to shoot for myself. It's so rewarding.

Custom prints are available for purchase. 10x10: $90 20x20: $180 30x30: $270 For purchases or other custom sizes please e-mail me: info@mwfoto.com
Ben and I snuck up to see the wildflowers again this year. We got there a little late in the evening as the sun was already over the hill but I love how these first few shots turned out with my trusty rollei camera I love so much. It's fun to head up there each year and try to get something different than I did last year. It is so inspiring to shoot for my own personal collection. It keeps me excited about what I do and it also teaches me new things when I can slow down and shoot for fun. There's no pressure to be perfect...just a chance to have more fun photos to put on our walls here at home.

Spring is here and I am so happy about it! Sometimes I just can't believe how lucky I am to live in this beautiful area. The past few weeks I've been having a really hard time staying inside at my computer. It is just so gorgeous outside! We've been planting all kinds of vegetables, flowers and bulbs around the yard and I can't wait for everything to come into full bloom. This year is going to be the best year yet. We currently have oranges, lemons, limes, tomatoes, a variety of herbs, strawberries, bell peppers, zucchini, artichokes and a few others growing in our back yard! Lookout Farmers Market! These photos were taken two years ago in April throughout the Big Sur area on the Highway 1 and at the shell creek wildflower spot over by Paso. Ben and I usually try to go picture hunting every year during April (our anniversary). Last year we were planning & having our wedding in April so we missed the annual trip which makes me even more anxious to go explore those dreamy green hills real soon!
Ben and I love to explore this area. Whenever we need to get away we always hit the road and look for new back roads and new adventures. We did exactly that this weekend for his birthday. A few different people told me there were waterfalls out by Lopez Lake and so we went on a search to find them. It was about 10 miles of bumpy road and we had to cross about 12 streams of water (some 4 feet deep) but we made it...here's the proof...
